From the Good Times:
This month marks the launch of a new interactive component of the First Friday art tour These responses will be posted on the signs in real time, providing a live, participatory experience for art-walkers. The signs, located in the Rittenhouse and Borders buildings, will act as a forum for community discourse on Love-themed questions, giving viewers an opportunity to contribute their own feelings and ideas to the First Friday event.
The signs will be linked to the Museum of Art & History @ the McPherson Center to provide a bridge between the fun-filled happenings inside the museum and the festivities on Pacific Avenue. The signs will continue to display feeds of text submissions throughout February, and will hopefully continue in months to come.
Interspersed with audience-created submissions will be teasers for The Love Letters project, to be held on Saturday, February 11th from 12-5pm at Bookshop Santa Cruz, the Museum of Art & History, and the Felix Kulpa Gallery. Writers from Santa Cruz Writes will create custom love letters on manual typewriters for your lover. Remember to check it out!
