R. Blitzer Gallery – A Figurative Affair

Eighteen figurative artists wear their hearts on their sleeves in A Figurative Affair, which opens at the R. Blitzer Gallery with a reception on First Friday, February 3, 2012, from 5 – 9 PM. There will be wine, and live music by Scott Stobbe and Jaymes Kirksey. This westside gallery, located at 410 Natural Bridges Drive in Santa Cruz, with its large, long walls provides the perfect environment for this standout, engaging, and emotive show. The show, curated by Susan Hancey and Sefla Joseph, will feature works by painters Barbara Bartels, Carol Bowie, Linda Christensen, Lois Cole, Barbara Downs, David Fleming, T.A. Greene, Susan Hancey, Stephanie Heit, Carol Jeneid, Sefla Joseph, Marvin Plummer, Andrew Purchin, and Cher Roberts, and sculptors Rob Blitzer, Irwin Kaplan, Lila Klapman, and Lisa Silas.
